GUTS has been performing plays in English since 1968, and we hope to do so for a very long time. We're a merry bunch of primarily students of English at the Rijksuniversiteit Groningen.
07/10 'Wot's goin' on then?!' you may be wondering, because GUTS is having a bit of a slow start this year. 04/10 Yuuueaaahhh! Alice in Wonderland won a stunning amount of FOUR awards at the Cardozo Awards! Best Actor, Actress, Design and we even won BEST PLAY! here are some pics!
26/08 After a last performance of Alice in Wonderland for the KEI-week we are close to ready for the next year! This year's second play has been decided on, we're still working on obtaining rights for the first one, and it will be known ASAP when auditions will be held for the year's first play which will be directed by Laura MacDonald. Currently teaching American Studies at the RuG, she has directed a number of plays and musicals already so we're very happy to have her!
08/06 Alice in Wonderland got nominated an astounding five times for USVA's Cardozo Awards! Best actor, actress, director, visuals and show! The Picture of Dorian Gray also got nominated! - this one for publicity. On October 4th we'll hear who the winners are.
